Is Joining Necessary?
Who is the Church?
What does the Church do?
How do you join the Church?
Quick Review: Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you?
1) What are your fondest memories of Church? Were there special people who were instrumental as you grew and learned life in the Church?
2) Hebrews 13:17 asks us to obey and submit to our local church leaders. Do you have trouble with this? What could you do to help your leaders “do this with joy”? Will you pray for your leaders this week (vs.18)?
3) Ephesians 2:19 says we are fellow citizens… and members of the household of God. What rights, privileges and obligations come with being citizens of the household of God?
We welcome Norm Lewis as our speaker this weekend. Norm is an Elder and a member of our preaching team. We would love to meet you at our Welcome Center in the lobby and share a gift and available opportunities. Our Pastoral team would also love to meet you and will linger in the front after the services to this end. You may let us know you were here by using a Communication Card found in our worship folder. We receive these in containers placed on tables in the Celebration Center.
REDISCOVER CHURCH CAR HANGERS
Our Rediscover Church team has provided Aspen Ridge Church car hangers as a reminder to pray. Please pick-up one or more and pray for the objectives of this initiative. These include prayerful support of a new church plant in Indian Hills and elimination of our church mortgage. They are available near the nametags and at the Welcome Center.
INDIAN HILLS CHURCH PLANT MEETING
Could God use YOU to help bring the gospel to Indian Hills and the surrounding area? Yes! Join Pastor Marcus and Kayla Mackey in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, October 23 right after second service to hear the vision and learn more about how you can be a part of the prayer team, launch team or support team for Grace Hills Community Church. Together, we can love God, love people and make disciples.
Our next baptism is on November 12/13. We will provide baptism orientation meetings, with the expectation that someone getting baptized will attend at least one. These meetings will be held on October 22 at 4:00 PM, October 26 at 7:00 PM or October 27 at 5:00 PM. If you are interested, please fill out a communication card or call the church office.
AUDIO/VISUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Aspen Ridge Worship Arts team has an opportunity for volunteers who are willing to support musical worship on weekends from “behind the scenes.” We are looking for individuals who can help with the overhead-projection of lyrics, scripture and sermon notes for our weekend services. Whether you are tech savvy or not, musically inclined or not, if you enjoy the act of singing to our King Jesus, this could be a great service position for you. Thanks for your consideration! Feel free to reach out to Lawrence.Pridmore@aspenridgechurch.org to inquire further.

We ask that trunk volunteers plan prepackaged candy/trinkets for 400-500 participants.
On Sunday, November 13 from 4:00-6:30 PM we will host a session of “The Bridge.” This is a meeting for people wanting to know all about Aspen Ridge, its ministries, small groups and more.
