Hebrews 12:2

We’ve heard today that God knows us, that He has a name for us, that He knows when we sleep and when we rise and that He fights for us! I have one simple message for you today – Joshua 1:9.

Quick Review: Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you?

Discussion Questions:

1) Re-read Joshua 1:9. How did you feel about this week’s passage?

2) What did you learn about this passage from the message?

3) What is God stirring up in you to apply to your daily living from this message?

We would like to welcome Danny Oertli as our guest worship leader and speaker this weekend. Danny Oertli is an accomplished singer, songwriter and author, encouraging audiences for the last 25 years with stories of God’s faithfulness. Combining inventive guitar work with stirring songwriting, Danny has performed worldwide as well as in all but two states (c’mon N. Dakota and S. Dakota!). Danny loves chocolate shakes but has never eaten ketchup, ever. He currently lives in Castle Rock, CO, with his wife Rayna, their three children and Tulo the insecure labradoodle.

We want to extend a special welcome to visitors and guests, and we invite you to an informal reception immediately following our worship service. Please visit the Welcome Center, where you can meet with a member of our church family, get church information and receive a special gift when you turn in a Communication Card.

In the lobby, this weekend through Christmas, you will notice a display of Christmas trees with various paper tags on them. This year, we are partnering with Life’s Options, to purchase gift cards and such that can be presented throughout the year in times of need, rather than a slew of toys at Christmas. Would you take a tag (or several) and consider giving in this very real and practical way to benefit these families? We want these families and individuals to feel Christ’s love in this season and beyond!

Pastor Jeff and Mary are away in California to await the birth of their first grandchild. Please keep them, Kelly and Joe Schibi (the new parents) and all of the family in your prayers for safe travels, a healthy delivery and a great time together. Pastor Jeff will be back in the office on Monday, November 26. If you have a pastoral concern during this time, please contact Pastor Kreg Kastelz.

We are in the process of upgrading our website in an effort to serve our community better. The password for our church family to access the online directory has changed. If you would like the new password, please indicate such on a Communication Card or call the church office.

Barry Strickland is based in Texas and focuses on prison ministry. Barry travels often to prisons and ministry conferences. Please be praying for his busy schedule and safety as he travels. Last week, Barry saw his dermatologist and had two spots removed for biopsy. Be praying for him, especially if these need more attention after the results.
