NEWCOMERS RECEPTION

STUDENT MINISTRY UPDATE

We are pleased to announce that Marty Lake has accepted the role of Interim Director of Student Ministries. Marty will be working with our existing workers and small group leaders to ensure continuity and excellence for students and families.

Our church leadership has also asked Ron Kilgore to lead a search team for a new head of Student Ministries. Ron has accepted and will begin to assemble a team that will launch out in search of God’s provision. For more details on both of these important issues, please see Pastor Jeff’s Student Ministry blog on our website.

ASPEN RIDGE MOPS

Mother of Preschoolers are gratefully accepting donations in the Student Center for their annual MOPS Yard Sale. You may drop off items during the following hours: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on July 11-14 and 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM on July 15. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Kristin by phone at 913.709.3624. (No electronics, please.) The sale is on July 16 from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM in the upper parking lot. Please come shop and support our Mother of Preschoolers!

SUMMER SCHEDULE UPDATES

Please note that Men’s Breakfast will be suspended for the month of July, in light of the upcoming Men’s Retreat. Also, please note that the Hymn Sing will resume in September.

LOST AND FOUND

Our Lost and Found, located downstairs next to the elevator, will be emptied out and items sold at the MOPS Yard Sale. Please take time before Monday, July 11, to see if you have any items to claim.

KIDS GUITAR CAMP

If you are between the ages of 8-12 and have ever wanted to learn to play guitar, this camp is for you! On August 1-4, from 9:00 – 10:15 AM, join us for a fun introduction to this amazing instrument. The cost is only $50, and you don’t have to own a guitar to participate. Contact Kerry at [email protected] to sign up.

DV8 CIY (MOVE) SHARE NIGHT – YOU ARE INVITED!

We will be meeting in the Student Center for a CIY Share Night on Thursday, July 7, 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Come hear about all that the high schoolers experienced during their week in Durango. Middle schoolers can get an exciting preview of things to come for their trip, and sponsors can support and hear how their prayers were answered for these students.

…AND WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED

Aspen Ridge Church will be celebrating 50 years of serving the mountain community on Saturday, August 6. The morning will begin with small group service projects for Marshdale, Evergreen Lake and Mountain Resource Center, followed by a car show (classic and 4×4) on campus. There will also be a look at our past and our future before the Saturday evening services. Begin thinking about how you and your small group might serve in the morning projects, and who you might invite to the other events of the day. Also, if you have any old photos or videos to include in a short retrospective, please contact Shelby Boller to submit those items.
