Human – Regret: God & Saul
1 Samuel 15:10-14
Dr. Jeffrey Clark
The Big Idea: The Lord had regret that He made Saul king over Israel.
- Saul disobeyed God.
- Saul’s divination.
- Saul’s fear.
Quick Review: Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you?
- Please read 1 Samuel 15:10-14. How did you feel about this week’s passage?
- What did you learn about this passage from the message?
- What is God stirring up in you to apply to your daily living from this message?
If you are visiting, we want to extend a special welcome to you, and we invite you to an informal reception immediately following our worship service. On Saturday, Pastor Jeff will be available in the Celebration Center, and on Sunday, he and his wife Mary, will meet you at the Welcome Center.
STUDENT MINISTRY UPDATE
We are pleased to announce that Marty Lake has accepted the role of Interim Director of Student Ministries. Marty will be working with our existing workers and small group leaders to ensure continuity and excellence for students and families.
Our church leadership has also asked Ron Kilgore to lead a search team for a new head of Student Ministries. Ron has accepted and will begin to assemble a team that will launch out in search of God’s provision. For more details on both of these important issues, please see Pastor Jeff’s Student Ministry blog on our website.

Aspen Ridge Church will be celebrating 50 years of serving the mountain community on Saturday, August 6. There will also be a look at our past and our future before the Saturday evening services. Begin thinking about how you and your small group might serve in the morning projects, and who you might invite to the other events of the day. Also, if you have any old photos or videos to include in a short retrospective, please contact Shelby Boller to submit those items.
