Quick Review: Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you?

Discussion Questions:

  1. Please read Romans 10:1-15. How did you feel about this week’s passage?
  2. What did you learn about this passage from the message?
  3. What is God stirring up in you to apply to your daily living from this message?

If you are visiting, we want to extend a special welcome to you, and we invite you to an informal reception immediately following our worship service. On Saturday, Pastor Jeff will be available in the Celebration Center, and on Sunday, he and his wife, Mary, will meet you at the Welcome Center.

In step with our outreach emphasis this weekend, we would like to welcome one of our missionary partners, Dan Nelson, as our speaker. Dan and his wife, Melinda, are with Converge Worldwide in Guadalajara, Mexico, and the focus of their ministry is church planting. We are blessed to have them share with us from their hearts and lives during our regular services.

This will be our final Sunday for our prayer time, 10:20 – 10:35 AM in the Celebration Center, leading up to Easter weekend. We will continue to pray for our upcoming Easter events – for those God is already moving in and among and for our hearts to be ready and willing to respond in whatever way He may call each of us. Want to join us during this special time? Come on in and take a few moments to pray!

In the week leading up to Easter, there are many events for the entire family to reflect upon and enjoy. Be in prayer about how you may invite a neighbor to join you in one of these events! The schedule is as follows:
March 24: Volunteer Rally for Easter (6:30 – 8:15 PM). All volunteers for Easter weekend are asked to attend.
March 25 Good Friday Drop-In Prayer Time (5:00 – 7:00 PM). Open time for prayer in the Celebration Center.
March 26 MOPS Hop and lunch (10:00 AM). Free egg hunt for children through age 10, sponsored by the Mothers of Preschoolers, and free lunch afterwards, hosted by Aspen Ridge small groups.
March 26 Free Easter Dinner (5:00 PM), catered by Qdoba.
March 26 Saturday Service (6:00 PM)
March 27 Sunday Services (9:00 & 10:45 AM)

Not everyone believes that Easter, or Christianity for that matter, is good news. There are some that would call it a straitjacket, confining and oppressive. This Easter, we will seek to answer some of these questions and delve into this way of thinking. If you’d like to know more, check out Pastor Jeff’s blog post on our website!

It is time for the annual MOPS Hop Easter Egg Hunt, for kids through age 10. Meet at Marshdale at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 26, to enjoy the hunt, plus some cocoa and face painting, too! A few of our small group members will also be serving up some hotdogs after the events, so stick around and take some time to introduce yourself to a neighbor!

Please note that our Wednesday and Thursday evening activities are suspended this week, due to spring break, and they will resume on March 30 and 31.

Aspen Ridge Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is now accepting applications for a paid Moppets Coordinator for the 2016-17 year. If you are interested, please contact Kristin Farnsworth at [email protected] or call 913.709.3624 for further information.

Summer is only a few months away! Be in prayer about how you may want to get involved in Vacation Bible School this year, and please make sure that June 20-24 is marked on your calendar! We’re taking it back to God’s Word with “Retro Rock!”
