Aspen Ridge Church – The Body of Christ
1 Corinthians 12:27-31
Dr. Jeffrey Clark
The Big Idea: You are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
- God has appointed certain offices and gifts…
- All people do not inhabit or possess certain gift(s)…
- Earnestly desire the higher gifts…

If you are visiting, we want to extend a special welcome to you and invite you to an informal reception immediately following our worship service. On Saturday, Pastor Jeff will be available in the Celebration Center, and on Sunday, he and his wife, Mary, will meet you at the Welcome Center.
MANY MEMBERS – ONE BODY
This weekend, during our corporate worship services we will receive an in-gathering of Ministry Menus for this series. Our ushers will have available extra menus as needed. Please prayerfully consider areas where God may be calling you to serve in the upcoming ministry year, and be ready to present your family’s menus at the close of our service. We are excited to see what God will do in 2016!
TIME CHANGE FOR DV8 GRADUATION CELEBRATION!
Please change your calendars and join us on Thursday, May 21 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the Student Center to honor our graduating seniors. We will also be recognizing seniors during this weekend’s services. Please join us in giving these students our prayer-filled wishes for their future.
MEMORIAL DAY “YES” WEEKEND
How does the gospel relate to political concerns in our nation and world today? We will attempt to answer that question during Aspen Ridge services Memorial Day weekend. This will be a “Yes” weekend focused on the gospel and how it relates to life and culture in our generation. Among other things, we will help people identify where they are in their spiritual journey, and invite people to make a faith commitment. Bring a friend!
We continue to see significant interest in following Christ into the waters of Baptism. Aspen Ridge will have our next baptism service on the weekend of July 11/12. If you are interested in baptism, the first step is to secure an interview with one of our pastors or church leaders. We will finalize our list of participants by the July 4th Weekend.
This weekend, there is a table in the lobby for volunteers to sign-up to help with our annual Vacation Bible School, June 8-12. This outreach event draws hundreds of kids and families from our area and is an amazing chance to serve our community. It takes about 95 volunteers to make it happen. Please stop by and chat with Debbie and Maryjean, and see what may be a good fit for you!
THE WAY OF JESUS: GOSPEL OF MARK
Beginning the last weekend in May, Aspen Ridge Church presents a new series entitled “The Way of Jesus.” This will be a teaching series that looks at the life of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark. It will be a series that describes how Jesus is both the pathway to God, and the one who shows us how to live life while on that pathway. Bring your Bibles and an expectant heart to this new series.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT MENU
This is our last Wednesday Night for this season! Our menu will offer lasagna, bread, salad and dessert for only $2.50 each/$10 per family. Please join us for a great time of fellowship, and mark your calendars for September 9, the beginning of our next season in the Fall.
BABY BOTTLES CAN HELP “CHANGE” OUR COMMUNITY
Quarters, nickels, pennies, dimes; your change can change lives! Please pick up your bottle(s), fill with pocket change and return to the church on Father’s Day, June 21. All proceeds go to benefit Mountain Area Pregnancy Center and the babies, women and families it serves. Your small change makes a BIG difference!
