Living His Love Out Loud
- Vs. 4-5
- Vs. 6-7
- Vs. 8-9
- The 9 to 5 Window
- What’s your “world”?
Quick Review: Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you?
My Story: This week we learned about loving the Lord and living our faith out loud and seeking to make disciples in the ”world” where God has placed you. What do you currently do throughout each day to remind yourself and those around you about the love and truth of God? Do you tend to view your “9-2-5 window” (ie: your workplace or everyday activities) as the “world” in which God has called you to make disciples?
- Read all of Deuteronomy 6. What is God commanding, and what reasoning does He give for His instructions? What do you think it looks like in this day and age to obey these commands?
- Read how Jesus refers to these commands in Mark 12:28-31, Luke 10:25-28 and Matthew 22:37-38. What are the questions asked to Jesus in these passages? What do His answers tell us about what it means to know Him?
- What is the difference between making disciples and making converts? What do the following verses tell us about what a true disciple of Jesus should look like? Matthew 28:19-20, Luke 14:27, John 13:35, John 15:12-14. Where is God asking you to be more loving, more sacrificial and more obedient?
- Read Colossians 4:5-6. How does this verse speak to living your faith “out loud”?
Taking It Home: God is calling you into a deeper relationship with Him, and He is asking you to share His invitation of love to those around you. How can you be obedient to these things?
