Hello Aspen Ridge family,

Student Ministries at Aspen Ridge has kicked off in person meetings and it’s been a real blessing not only to me but to the students. While Zoom was a great way to convey information and see each other, students are starved for personal contact and connection and the digital world just doesn’t deliver in that way. We’ve had some incredible events so far this summer including a camping trip to Wellington Lake, and a couple of great day camps at the church. I think the extended period of quarantine or isolation has really opened a lot of students eyes to the importance of the body of Christ and the fellowship we enjoy together. It has really put flesh on the reasoning behind Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

I would cherish your prayers in the coming months for student ministries as we navigate what life and ministry looks like and how we can keep up the fellowship, the love and good deeds in these students lives and how we can keep honoring God in the midst of these strange times.
