Families are close to God’s heart. In fact, they were His idea in the first place. Families are a place where we are able to emulate the love of our Father to our children, but it is also a place where sin and darkness can take hold. For the children of abuse, trauma and neglect, family is not always a safe place to learn about the love of our Father. There are over 4,000 children living in foster care in our state. As Christians we are motivated by the example Christ set to share a common goal, of caring for those Jesus referred to as, “the least of these.” One of the ways we can share this goal is with Royal Family Kids Camp.

Royal Family Kids Camp (RFKC) is a weeklong summer camp serving children from the foster care system. This camp offers these children a weeklong escape to have fun and just be kids. They will be able to participate in a variety of activities including swimming, hiking, woodworking and more. Each day they will get to hear about the love of God through bible stories, worship, and prayer. And most of all they will get to experience the love of Jesus through an incredible team of counselors (Big Campers) and staff.

Aspen Ridge is honored to partner with Royal Family Kids Camp – Littleton this year. We have sponsored 5 children to attend camp, a team of volunteers have been working on making blankets for camp and we have 2 volunteers joining the kids from June 26th – July 1st at camp. If you are interested in volunteering to be a big camper (over 18) please email Bethany Van Mill [email protected].

We pray that all 40 campers will know the love of God and feel like they are part of the “Royal Family.”
