This weekend, Aspen Ridge will begin a new series on the Old Testament King David. David loved God with all his heart, but he was a deeply flawed human being who needed God’s grace. In this way, he stands in the place of all of us who deal with all of the consequences of sin in life.

David was a human being who experienced God’s grace and favor in a transformative way. Further, David was perhaps the greatest of Israel’s kings and important in the progress of God’s unfolding plan of redemption. God made a covenant with David that he would establish a kingdom from his line that would last forever! Ultimately, that kingdom will be established through David’s greater son, Jesus Christ.

I look forward to exploring the life of David in 1 & 2 Samuel.
